The Cartography collection arose from the desire to combine my art practice with my jewellery design. I was working on a project that was based around combining a non-art subject with my art and was looking at different types of maps from topographical ones to road. I was also interested in exploration in form, line, surface, texture and pattern.

These ideas are concepts I wanted to be able to portray in my jewellery collection as well as creating a collection that directly responded to my work and thus could individually be viewed as artworks in and of themselves. All the pieces grew from a fascination with the road map and how aesthetically it looks like it is organically growing
